Hey, it’s Angie.

Hey, it’s Angie.

I look like I could pass for twelve according to like everyone, but I promise you I’m way older than that. I’m in my early twenties, married, and I’m a cheese head from Madison, Wisconsin. I’ve lived in Madison my whole entire life up until two years ago when I flew on a plane for the very first time, ever, to come here to Sacramento, California. If you ask me if I miss the snow I’d tell you no, but I surely don’t enjoy the scorching hot sun here either. However, I do miss seeing flakes during Christmas.

I graduated high school in 2016, took a year off and majored in Fashion Marketing during my first year of college. Then I moved here and switched my major to Family Consumer Sciences. I’m hoping to become a teacher or a nutritionist.

Some struggles that I have faced in life, which I will only touch on the surface and not dive deep into but, I’m sure most of us can relate to include bullying, the loss of a parent and loved ones, and having to start all over. I was bullied a lot during my elementary and middle school years, which really shaped me into the person I am today. Going through what I did made me realize how powerful my words and actions could be towards others, which is why I, as the saying goes, “don’t say anything at all if you don’t have anything nice to say.”

I’ve experienced a lot of loss and deaths, from my brother to my brother-in-law, to my mother and then my auntie (my mom’s sister). With every death came a course of change in my life, and the one thing I have learned from all these deaths is that it never gets easier. You think you become stronger the more time goes on, but the truth is after seeing so many people you love leave too early on in life you start to realize just how precious your time here on earth is.

My mom passed away the day after I got married. I am her youngest child. I have five sisters and two brothers not including the one who passed. The age gap between me and my oldest sibling is over twenty years and I have nieces and nephews who are the same age as me and older. I was an aunt as soon as I was born. Out of all my siblings I was the only one born here in the U.S. and the only one with an American name.

Some things I like to do in life aside from being a student and work is, going to the gym, hiking, farming (my in-laws are farmers), going to arcades, golfing, bowling, yoga, and simply just experiencing new things, especially trying out restaurants (cause you know food is life).

That is all for now. I hope you got some insight of my life and who I am.
